I am currently 1/7/11 working on matlab task that uses OOP and am learning alot about this otehr side of LV but as some have said here already if you know matlab programming key ideas of programming why would matlab probably sane institution even bother with LabView?The free options often dont have documentation and one has to do extra looking to find suitable hardware to talk to one another where as NI provides devices that can communicate to many, many 3rd party peripherals already. NOW I will say that most of matlab programming problem with LV is matlab programming fact that it follows matlab data flow paradigm which as was said in advance in these posts, slow, but more when it comes to what you recognize you want to implement versus what LV must chug via to maybe get matlab programming response you expect. And thats with proper wiring!I can see via first hand event under my mentor that LV when using OOP can be very useful terms of effortlessly getting ready an OOP program. In terms of wiring thats really matlab non-public discipline and and agreement that your superiors remember matlab programming importance of proper wiring. but needless to say they only expect effects. You can probably with good wiring and instantiation practice show more of what matlab program is doing in one screen than studying through lines and contours of strolling syntax.
